I currently Serve on the Board of Sustain Charlotte, a local Non-Profit focused on Sustainability advocacy in the City of Charlotte, NC. I am a member of the Governance Committee of the Board.
2019 - 2020
City of Charlotte Strategic Energy Action Plan
Served on the External Content group of SEAP to help the City of Charlotte realize its ambitious carbon reduction targets.
2012 - 2019
Clinton Global Initiative University Network
Served as a liaison within this network and helped students innovate through sustainable projects aimed at solving an intractable human challenge. Our work was recognized during annual meetings.
2014 - 2017
Catawba RiverKeeper Foundation
Served on the Board of Directors of this Non-Profit organization aimed at creating awareness and advocating for the protection of the Catawba river basin, Charlotte's source of water.
2016 - 2019
Rosa Parks Farmers' Market
Served in the Community Advisory Board and was one of the founding institutional partners, together with Mecklenburg County Health Department and members of the Historic West End Neighborhoods of this farmers' market
2017 - 2018
Presidential Search Committee
Served alongside the board of trustees on the presidential search committee to identify and appoint the current president of Johnson C. Smith University
